Net Design Patterns, Software design patterns, Python design patterns, C++ design patterns and ruby design patterns. Over at the CodeSnipers site, Rusty Divine is running a multi part series on design patterns. He recently posted a look at the Singleton design pattern, with some Java and C# based examples. A few years ago I didn't know that design patterns existed when writing software. Russ Olsen is author of two books in the Addison-Wesley Professional Ruby Series: "Eloquent Ruby" (ISBN 0321584104, February 2011) and "Design Patterns in Ruby" (ISBN 0321490452, December 2007). So vist this free ebooks download links. The next time, I think I'll hand him Design Patterns in Ruby instead. Design Patterns in Ruby, by Russ Olsen, was just fantastic to read. Learning to program in Ruby is easy, but learning to program the "Ruby Way" is a much greater challenge. Sitting on my desk at work is a copy of trusty the old GoF book. The topic I chose was Design Patterns in Ruby, largely because I had just finished reading (twice) an excellent book by the same name. Chee Yeo introduces you to Design Patterns in Ruby and how to use them in your own Ruby code.
